Amidst the green rolling hills of Northern Michigan, and the cherry capital of the nation, lie the vast cherry orchards of Shoreline Fruit. Rich in agriculture, this region belongs to North America’s Great Lakes — the largest source of freshwater on earth. Here, the sandy soil, nearness to Lake Michigan, and climate of icy-cold winters and temperate summers, make it a uniquely ideal place to grow the succulent, ruby-red fruit that has become our specialty. The Shoreline Fruit cooperative of growers has 6,000 acres of orchards and typically harvests more than 25 million pounds of Montmorency tart cherries each year. Our growers are among the first cherry farms in Northern Michigan to earn USDA Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) certification.

Arrived as a solid block of chocolate and cherries. 😢 I contacted the seller, did not volunteer to exchange my delivery. They cited their description: "Chocolate Product Shipping: We recommend that you do not include chocolate covered products in your order if temperature at shipping address will be above 75 degrees in the next 7 days. Cherry Bay Orchards does not take responsibility for product that has defects resulting from shipping in high temperatures." I live on the central coast of CA where temps rarely reach 75 degrees. The day my delivery arrived, it was 75 degrees. However, the chocolate was already a cooled block of chocolate. I won't purchase their product again.

    Heaven in a box is what these were. I am very sad that they are not available now that I've eaten all the ones I bought. The cherries are dried, but not chewy or tough. They chocolate has just the right amount of milk-chocolatey goodness - not too sweet and not too bitter. The amount I got seemed very fair for the price... and the taste was so so so so so good. I hope they become available again soon!!!!

    If you liked the review for the dark cherries just wait until you try these, OMG ! These are so addictive and I am glad we split this order into 4 bags with our vacuum sealer, or they may be gone by now. You may want to try the dried cherries without the chocolate covering them.
    We use the dried cherries for baking and cooking too! Try them in your banana bread or other breads, they just add that little tartness to the flavor.

    I received a bag of these as a Christmas gift last year and loved them and have already been to a local store twice to get more. Those first bags were fresh and the treats were soft - they reminded me of giant Raisinets! 😋

    When I saw them on Amazon, I was so happy to be able to order them in bulk! I intended to keep some and gift the rest and was happy to get them at a lower price per bag than at the local store.

    My order of 12 6oz packages arrived yesterday. I opened a bag to share with my mom last night and we’re disappointed. These do NOT taste fresh, like those from the store - they’re crunchy between the chocolate and cherries. Unhappy with this order! If it was the first time I tried them, I wouldn’t get them again.
