What the image shows is a tasty jar of pickled red cabbage, a favorite of mine when I grew up in the UK. You can’t get that here in the States, so I ordered some only to be deeply disappointed and angered by what I actually received - sweet and mild. I can get that here, but I dislike it to the core. I’ve contacted the seller but I don’t think I’m gonna get anything good out of this botched deal. And if I don’t hear from them, I’ll have to go through Amazon direct and file a complaint about their misrepresentation of products. Definitely a damper on my weekend as I was extremely excited when I saw the box had arrived. Now...it’s basically trash. UGH!

    Expeted a chcrunchy spicy zing, as they should be. Nothing, tasted like boiled vegtables. Either these were stale ( I think so) or they're just not very good. Haywards are usually good, I just had some pickled onions from them and they were great, crunchy and a good spice. These were not good. Be careful who you buy from and expiry dates.

    Not the pictured product but the vile “sweet and mild” cabbage that you can find in the US. Sigh. Update: so here’s what I tried and it worked. Buy this reasonably priced sweet and mild. Drain out all the liquid. Add salt and malt vinegar. Shake. Bingo. Tastes like it used to back in the UK.
