Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I used one small pack for 1 cup of flour and the color of pasta was very dark. The ink is not liquid form, it is paste-like, and it has seafood smell but once it's blended in the dough you won't be able to tell. I didn't taste any seafood in the pasta itself either because the amount of squid ink is so little.

Ive used it before and all squid ink, for the most part, does the same. I use it for pasta.
However try as hard as you can to find it locally if you can. I search everywhere i could look and for whatever reason could not find it. Even at internationally markets. If you are having trouble try a local fish market and ask them if they have it.
So i had to order it online and the shipping for any of the brands that sell it is so damn expensive. I wanted the stuff so bad i just broke down and paid for it.
Finally able to try making Paella Negra and it turned out perfectly with this item. Will surely buy it again since its very hard to find it locally. I was able to make a regular size paellera (about 12 inches) with just one pocket of ink.
That's all there is to it. The product delivered is not the one I paid for. Squid ink and cuttlefish ink are fundamentally different products. You have a place in your store to buy cuttlefish ink as well as squid ink which means that they know very well what they're doing.
Tasty stuff, with a tiny bit of a strange aftertaste (chemicals?). Be careful when opening the packages, they are tiny, messy to handle and you lose a lot of the product, so plan for buying extra when planning your recipes.
It works as a food coloring but unfortunately it misses out the particular and distinctive flavor that it is supposed to add to the dish. I ended up using 2 packages for just one recipe and still the "ink" flavor was mild... Just not too great...
