It all began in 1921 with a trio of partners on Chicago’s South Side, when friends Herman Glickman, Harry Martin and Max Weiss founded a chocolate confection company. The partners shared a devout love for rich chocolate, enrobed caramel and marshmallows, along with other specialty chocolates. In 1948, the company introduced the first Cordial Cherry a whole Maraschino cherry, suspended in a creamy center and enrobed with smooth milk chocolate.
