Product Description

In 1907 the first batch of Halvah was produced on the Lower East Side of Manhattan where you can still buy it today. The Joyva Corporation, in its 99th year of operation, is still a family run business. It is headquartered in Brooklyn, NY. Over the last nine decades we have developed many candy and specialty food items that have been loved for generations. Jell Rings, Marshmallow Twists, Sesame Crunch, Sesame Tahini, and of course our beloved Halvah.

Big Disappointment They were either very old or stored improperly!
These were A Prime order so I dont know if they were sent to The Amazon Warehouse in this condition? or they were stored by Amazon improperly? They arrived on time but something was seriously wrong they looked old, the Chocolate was dry and crumbling! the Jelly was dried up! they did not have the White spots from chocolate freezing so that was not the issue, I had to try one because I had been craving these for years and the one I tried had a nasty taste! I grew up on these growing up in a NYC Suburb! if a person of the Kosher faith had purchased these they would have been outraged! I love Kosher food they have standards that have NO room for compromise!

    When I opened the boxes the chocolate-covered raspberry jelly rings were melted into each other. I tried one ring anyway and was disgusted with the taste and texture. It was as if the boxes were store in a very hot room. The remaining boxes in the order were in the same poor condition so I had to throw them out all as the rings were inedible.
