This is a favorite treat in our house, and we have purchased these regularly for years, but this was my first time buying these from Amazon. I thought I’d splurge and buy a large box as a gift for someone. When I popped the first one in my mouth, it was apparent that something was wrong - they had terrible texture and the flavor was off. When biting into it, instead of a soft luscious truffle center, it was a hard ball of chocolate that maintained its round shape. The texture was gritty and the chocolate flavor was stale. I was disappointed and apologized to the recipient of my gift, and ended up purchasing another box for them from a local store. While I will continue purchasing these in the future, I will never order these from Amazon again.
