- Reviewed in the United States on April 15, 2018Used these to make homemade “Kinder Eggs” for Easter. Only issues came from user error. Definitely needed two coats of chocolate or more for strength. I accidentally put a couple holes in the chocolate eggs by holding too long. Fit the mini dolls from “Trolls”. Could not fit LOL dolls. Great, easy to use product.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 14, 2017Worked great for Easter Surprise eggs. Made them for my daughter's easter basket and the shape held up well, no oil or anything was needed to get the chocolate to come out. The size is perfect for putting toys inside. But it is a good idea to put several layers of chocolate for the shell as they tend to be thinner at the edges and pool in the middle. Overall very satisfied and will purchase more in the future.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 11, 2017My son, like many toddlers, is obsessed with watching Kinder surprise eggs on youtube, which are illegal in the US. I use these molds to make them for him, and he LOVES them! They are bigger than standard kinder eggs, but about the same size as their "jumbo" eggs, and still super fun for them. I got the next size smaller, but that's too small (not enough width to fit a kinder capsule). I bought the actual kinder egg capsules with unused toys (they're only illegal with chocolate), so he gets the real toys inside. So I wish there was a size that was just like the kinder eggs, but between too small and too big, I'll take the too big ones (these). I also bought white confectioner's foils so it's like the kinder egg foil, but unfortunately, one square is too small to cover this egg. That being said, my son loves what I make him. I found it easiest to cut the separate molds so I can roll the chocolate and do one egg at a time. It's a tedious process, but works if you are willing to do it. Also, unrelated, but I discovered you can use a crock pot on the low/warm setting to keep chocolate tempered right for hours. That is a must if you are using these for chocolate (especially like kinder eggs with milk chocolate outside, and white chocolate inside). You just warm the chocolate in glass jars on hi, then add more room temp chocolate once it's melted, and turn crock pot on low. Leave the lid off the whole time and make sure not to get any water in there. It made it so much easier to do these!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 16, 2012Last Easter I made for the first time for my daughter a chocolate Easter egg. The mold worked perfectly. It's easy to use and to clean. I'm really happy about my purchase. I received so many compliments for the egg that I'm thinking to make more next year!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 1, 2013Was not an easy task to make a whole egg that was hollow. It would have been great for a solid half of and egg! and it was much bigger than I thought it would have been, but that was my fault. I would not purchase this for the recipe that took me to this link for cheesecake filled chocolate eggs.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 10, 2016I went to pastry school. We've been creative using different things for molds depending on what we were doing. This mold is not worth it at all. It didn't work. Period. Had to spend MORE money to buy a silicone mold :/
- Reviewed in the United States on April 5, 2015I just used this egg mold to make chocolate toy surprises for my 2.5 year old daughter's Easter basket. They turned out perfect. They can hold the small plastic My Little Pony's or the Shopkins, with some room to spare. My daughter was thrilled.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 11, 2016Got a chance to use the mold to make chocolate surprise eggs. Very easy to use and the hardened chocolate un-molds well. I love putting my own treats and stickers inside. These are a good size to add treats to.
A hit with the grand kids! I would have given it 5 stars but it arrived with 2 dents in one side so it takes me twice as long to make one complete egg.
