This is one of my favorite candies. The combo of chocolate and mint can't be beat. There are several candies that use the same combo, but York has nailed the mint better than anyone else. It's refreshing without having too much of a bite, and the sweetness level is just right.

The box is bigger than I expected but also good - we're talking 12" x 6" x 5.5", with an included undertab you pull out so it auto-dispenses mints for you. The directions are on the box so you'll get it once you see the box.
The mints themselves are good for yorkshire peppermint patties - maybe because they are fresher than the store-bought. However, they are NOT good for you. Make no mistake, you are buying a mass-produced food product with a focus on quantity over quality. It tastes good, but that also means it comes at the cost of extremely cheap ingredients.
Distributed by Hershey Company in Hershey PA - manufactured in Mexico (that would explain the cheapness).

You get 175 pcs individually wrapped for $18, which about comes out to $.12/pcs.
The price is $.21/oz, as this is a 84 oz (5lbs 4 oz) container for $18. The price is acceptable, but the appalling lack of nutrients means this a coping food - not a staple product you should be enjoying on a regular basis. If you are rich enough to buy them, then you are rich enough to make them, so just make your own. Your body will thank you later.

Ingredients: Sugar, corn syrup, chocolate, cocoa, invert sugar (somebody look up what this is), milk fat, egg whites, cocoa butter, lecithin (soy emulsifying agent - this is not a health ingredient and it causes neurological deterioration in large amounts or ingested over long periods of time - see "problems of Linoleic acid" for more info), oil of peppermint (you can make this using peppermint extract, as well), PGPR (Polyglycerol polyricinoleate, a castor-bean based replacement for chocolate that reduces chocolate viscocity - this is bad for your gut health, do not use in foods), and "natural flavor" (we all love when they add cryptic messages, don't we?)

Don't use this box around the holidays, people: You can easily make your own healthy candies using free online recipes! They only need a filling that gets chilled and dipped in chocolate before they are ready. The basic filling is a combination of powdered sugar, water (could use milk, but tends to spoil easily so only for small batches), some peppermint extract, some lemonade (or lemon juice - do NOT use lemon concentrate or you risk ruining the flavor), and some vanilla extract to smooth the flavor (vanilla is optional). Look it up yourselves and try it - use these store-boughts for on-the-go or emergencies. And do not feed them to kids. Not unless you are giving them fish supplements or DHA+EPA supplements regularly.
The beauty of the peppermint patty knockoffs you can produce yourselves is that you can substitute the extract for _anything_ you want instead! I made maple-filled chocolate patties and also orange-filled chocolates that more or less matched the gourmet feeling I was looking for - and you can do the same!
Don't satisfy yourselves with the mediocrity of a popular commodity - shoot for the sense of accomplishment and make your own gourmet rarities (or oddities). You will, if nothing else, appreciate these ready-made mints when you are done. Now go add those ingredients to your lists before the next seasonal holyday!

Forget any and all other after dinner mints, these are by far, the BEST! I know they’re pricey, but bigger than all others so only one or maybe two are all you’d want and taste amazing! I would advise, if you can stretch to it, buying the boxed version with 175 pieces at £40. It’s far more economical, as the smaller share bag contains only 20/21 pieces for £18. (The smaller bag can get compressed if being forced through the letterbox as well, meaning some squashed patties) Infact my box contained 182 pieces which I’ve batched into 7 bags, putting 6 in the freezer.
