We bake it in house daily before it is swirled into 45% cacao dark milk chocolate. Inhale deeply and detect the full campfire aroma imparted in fruitwood smoked bacon and enhanced by alderwood smoked salt. See nutrition fact panel for allergens.     I admit at first I didn't think I'd like the combo of bacon and chocolate when I first tried one a year ago. Flash forward to April 2012. I wanted to splurge a little and I decided to buy myself this bar as well as for a friend. Mo's Bacon Bar is much better than a mere candy of just having a slab of bacon covered in chocolate. It's sweet but not too sweet. The taste of bacon doesn't interrupt the velvety smoothness of chocolate. The balance of sweet and salty is simply exquisite.

    I recommend this for any bacon and sweet-toothed fanatics alike. BTW, I do recommend this to be paired with brown ales or a good quality red wine.

    When I saw this I knew my husband and I had to try it, and I'm glad we did. The combination of flavors was AMAZING, but i could only eat a little bit at a time because it was pretty rich. The cost was a bit much for a candy bar, but by the look on my husbands face when he tried it, it was so worth it.

    I was excited to pop that first little chunk of Mo's Bacon Bar in and see what happened. Well, lots of things happened. The flavors were strong, yet subtle at the same time, which my confused my mind a little. The smoked salt is brilliant if you can snag a piece of a good granule of that in it. The bacon was really good, but it nearly blew it off the richness charts for my taste buds, anyway.

    Bottom line: I think everyone should at least try one of these in their lifetime. It's a unique experience for sure or bring one to a friend's gathering (it WILL get attention and some talk). Otherwise, this is something you'd have maybe once or twice a year or for a special occasion. Trust me, if I ate one of these everyday - I'm not sure I'd make it past day three because they are RICH!

    I purchased this product for my brother's birthday. as was forever saying that he thought chocolate-covered bacon sounds so delicious. I knew the Vosges Milk Chocolate Bacon Bar would be in bar form, as it says on the website, but what I didn't know, is that the bar contained very, very tiny pieces (they turned out to be GRAINS of bacon, sparsely distributed). After my brother open the gift, revealing the "chocolate bacon bar" everybody at the party started laughing. Telling me that I "was scammed". I was utterly humiliated.

    Look at the photo of the piece of bacon on the box. That, to me, infers that there is a piece of bacon inside, that is covered in chocolate. Quite frankly, I would not complain if there were at least BACON CHUNKS inside the bar of chocolate. Not so.

    I am now on the hunt for a recipe to make chocolate covered bacon at home. I'm not much in kitchen, so this is a real chore for me. And it's highly unlikely I'll be able to make it myself. Like I said, I'm not much of a cook.

I never knew 2 flavors seeming so different could work so well. It was not overbearing of either flavor. A fun treat to bring out when a lot of people are around to see the reactions as well.
