Chocolate arrived promptly and package not damaged however when my wife opened one to eat them the chocolate had a thick white film as if it wasn't stored properly. It wasn't expired so I doubt it was old, just had to throw it away because it tasted terrible.

    I have a real bad sweet tooth and have to be careful not to go crazy. These are portion controlled bites of heaven with cute sayings inside (which may or may not be everyone's cup of tea but they kind of provide a refreshing shot of cheerfulness). This particular pack of 4 is also a fantastic deal on Amazon. If you only eat a few a day then the 4 bags will last a couple of months. If you're like me and eat chocolate daily then calorie control is a must. 2 of these pre-wrapped pieces provide around 50 calories which is a guilt-free indulgence unless you are on a sugar controlled diet. The hard part is actually sticking with just 2... at least for me.

    My husband and I are totally hooked on these little chocolates. I can't always find them around locally and tried some others but these are the ones we love. The small size is great to carry with us and that is important because my husband is diabetic and sometimes needs a little sugar.

    This chocolate is amazing! I tend to be picky about my dark chocolate as I'm not a huge fan of the bitter, but this product does an excellent job of balancing the bitter and sweet notes. I did read other reviewers complaining about melting issues, my product arrived with not a melted piece in site and it was delivered in the middle of summer. I would definitely purchase this product again!

    The Dove Dark Chocolate Promises are, in my personal opinion only, some of the best tasting dark chocolates that are massed produced and easily accessible. I eat these basically every day for a treat after lunch. However, the price on Amazon for these chocolates is NOT competitive. You can find them on sale fairly regularly at Rite Aid, CVS and grocery stores in the range of $3.50 per bag. The regular price at these stores is in the range of $5. The per bag cost here is $7.50, which I have never paid outside of Amazon. I love Amazon and I love these chocolates, but together they aren't doing us a favor here.

    For those of you surprised, yes - it really is a pack of 4 bags for that low price. Yes, the chocolate is great quality. Shipping is $1.99 and it came in two days in a cooled box. For your information: one bag contains 35 pieces of chocolate. A full order contains 140 pieces. This was a great piece of information when I was purchasing these chocolates for wedding favors.

I'm a fan of Dark chocolate and these are called dark chocolate but even when frozen melt like milk chocolate in your mouth. For me they are the perfect diet desert because i will eat only one after dinner and still feel as if i had a very decadent desert.
