I use this in my coffee rather than syrups or other flavor aids. It is not like adding a packet of cocoa to my drink, iced or hot; but it does add a hint of chocolate. Good enough for me! I add a few drops of Stevia and creamer because I am a coffee whimp-so I am told-but they complement my coffee and reduce bitterness for me. I also use in baking and it only enhances flavors, does not have funny taste at all.
My feeling is that, I am not buying additives and dealing with a "use by" date or space in my fridge-- this little bottle lasts me a couple of months when used regularly. That seems cost effective and calorie wise-- :O}
