Update: So, to make my review look bogus... Amazon posted it twice; they posted it where I originally reviewed the non-sugar candy and also here on the sugar-free candy (where I did not write a review). So incredibly shady/deceptive. I wanted to update my review to say that isomalt does raise blood sugar slightly, so diabetics beware. If you are diabetic and don't want any sugar-free product to spike your blood sugar... please avoid ALL artificial sweeteners. However, if that isn't possible for you it's OK to have erythritol, stevia, or monk fruit in small quantities. Isomalt and sorbitol are a lesser evil but still raise blood sugar (if you are doing Keto you can only remove half their carbs). Maltitol is almost as bad as regular sugar but mass marketed by all the major killer companies -you know the ones that sell 90% of the food in the USA -as sugar-free, because they didn't give a f--- if you die. There, I said my peace. Hope it helps someone. If I didn't try to educate myself, I could be like all the other dummies out there eating sugar free chocolate to a quick death. This product has isomalt, so it's not super bad unless you plan on eating many candies per day. I'd stick to no more than 2 at a time and maybe less than a dozen per week, but it all depends on your blood sugar level / your body.
I posted I typed Werther's sugar free and this came up in the top three. It is entirely my fault for selecting it without a closer look but SHAME on AMAZON for allowing a sugar product to appear in the top three when typing in Werther's sugar free -Werther's has caramel and coffee sugar free items and those should have appeared at the top instead of this. Diabetics, need to be aware and don't make the same mistake I made by adding to cart without clicking open the item and confirming whether or not it's sugar free. Apart from that, these taste pretty good but have a slight artificial taste -and that is why I didn't even notice I was eating a sugar item until a few days later. The caramel and coffee flavors are there and fairly decent. Fortunately, one candy has three grams of sugar and I only eat one at a time and never more than 3 per day or 10 max in a week. Still, it's like eating an entire extra day's worth of sugar in a week. Hopefully, others won't mistake these for sugar free -as I did because of Amazon's disgraceful garbage search engine -and won't harm themselves with excess sugar. Considering they are sugar candy, they taste good but could be better and less artificial tasting.
if you like hard candy werther's if a great hard candy to buy. my father loves them and that is what i bought them for to send them to him. since he lives in another state using amazon was great and i could deliver several things to him at the same time.
Ahh, how delightful it is to fill my mouth with this glorious taste! I was so glad to get this package today. and Amazon continues to impress me - - ordered Friday, pick up Monday! Now, that's not a bad record, I applaud you!
