These are an amazing bag of sugary goodness. Mine were not stale and tasted exactly like lucky charms marshmellows. I’m not gonna lie, I eat them straight out the bag I’m not adding them to cereal. I had a decent bit of marshmellow dust crushed in the bag but that’s expected for unstale crunchy marshmellows. My only complaint is the packaging. It’s not resealable so you have to put them in a different container once you open the bag.
Purchased the 21 oz bag of marshmallows to give as a Christmas gift to my siblings who, when we were growing up, would always eat all of the marshmallows out of the Lucky Charms box and leave me with the oats. They're lucky I actually liked the oats, otherwise this would be a very different Christmas gift story. When they unwrapped their presents and started the descent into cavity madness, they were thoroughly convinced that I handpicked them straight out of a box of Lucky Charms. Ha! I don't love them enough to do that. Conveniently for me, you can now order *just* the marshmallows from Amazon. Woopwoop!
These came in a large plastic bag and were extremely fresh upon arrival. There was more than enough to fill 4 1-quart mason jars (with a few handfuls leftover for my formerly marshmallow-deprived self). Same top-quality dehydrated marshmallow that you find in your favorite childhood breakfast cereal, minus the oats.
Great if you love the marshmallows from the cereals more than the cereal itself. This bag is resealable, but it is not the easiest to reseal and I have found the marshmallows on top have gotten a bit soft and if left open for any amount of time, they will stick together. It is probably best to put them in some sort of tupperware container where less air can get to them. This doesn't look like a lot of marshmallows, but it will last much longer than you think. Unfortunately, only eating the marshmallows isn't something that you can do as much as you'd like without going into a sugar coma. These taste like the real thing and come crisp and ready to enjoy. I was really happy to find that they didn't feel like fake imitations. My biggest issue was with the resealable quality of the bag and how this allowed some air in and affected the quality of the marshmallows. Other than that, these are great and I highly recommend them.
These are great! When we were kids, my parents used to buy us a box of our favorite cereal (cereal was a 'treat' in our house) as one of our Christmas gifts. In contrast to the rest of the year, we didn't have to share 'our' box with any of the other kids. The oldest of my younger sisters favorite cereal was Lucky Charms. After getting her box, she would sit down with two bowls and sort the cereal from the marshmallows. She'd dump the cereal back in the box and eat it as you normally would cereal. But the marshmallows, she'd keep those aside, eating them like candy.
Now, all grown up, she still loves Lucky Charms, and her two boys, 6 and 7 love them as well. For Christmas this year, she decided to give them a special surprise from 'Santa'. She saved an empty Lucky Charms box and the bag. I had a gold burnishing cream that we used to burnish the box a gold color, but allowed the picture to show through underneath. Then we filled the bag with these marshmallows and sealed it with my Seal-A-Meal. Her boys were so surprised when they got up on Christmas morning and found a 'magic' box of cereal from Santa - with only marshmallows (the most important part) inside!
My sister was happy, too, because it only took two of the three bags of these marshmallows to fill the box, which meant she had an extra bag to enjoy herself. Win-win!
Who says you can’t buy time or happiness? I say you can buy both with this product. No more time spent digging out the marshmallows from the cereal and I’ve never seen people get more excited! Buyer Beware: These are delicious and highly addictive! I may or may not have consumed the majority of this giant bag by myself! I’ve decided to buy more to put in cute jars for Christmas gifts for all the kids in our extended family! These are crunchy just like out of the cereal box! Store airtight! *I had seen a few others mention the large amount of powder in the bag. This is true, but my guess is that it is what keeps these from losing their crunch by collecting moisture.
My order arrived in a single bag with what I'm assuming was a full LB of the marshmallows. I didn't weigh them. The bag was sealed only with a zip tie and the marshmallows inside were noticeably stale. I'd probably have this product 2 stars if it weren't for the fact that IT'S A BAG OF CEREAL MARSHMALLOWS. There's definitely a difference between these and the ones you pull out of a cereal box but my kid loves them. I'll be trying other options/vendors in the future but will keep these in mind as a standby when I need to order more if other vendors don't turn out better.
Very happy with this purchase. My 9 year old son loves these marshmallows. They arrived fresh in a sealed bag. We ordered them after the Lucky Charms kept getting picked through. The marshmallows would disappear and only the cereal would be left in the box. And Lucky Charms cereal without the marshmallows is adequate, at best. Anyway, these marshmallows have been a big hit. My son is designing and naming his own cereal mixes (like Candyland Wonder) and loves eating the marshmallows right out of the bag. I've really enjoyed them in milk mixed with Cheerios. They hold up just like the Lucky Charms marshmallows and we have a big huge bag of them. In another review someone suggested keeping them in the fridge because hot and humid weather could cause them to soften up a little bit. If you get these marshmallows, that suggestion is definitely worth following.
