Unpresentable and not fresh
My husband decided to surprise me & 4 friends for Valentines Day with 1lb boxes of See’s candies. We’ve bought them many times over the years as we have a See’s candies store 2 mi from our home. He has COPD & is on oxygen so he’s unable to leave our house so he ordered them on Amazon. We are so DISAPPOINTED. The candies were disheveled in the box & the chocolate appeared to be old, dried out & a little flaky. We ordered 5 boxes (shipped to 5 locations) at a cost of $38.35/box plus $7.95 shipping; a $231.50 order. I have photos of the 3 sent in Tucson. Will fwd photos of shipmts to Phx & San Antonio when rec’d. Certainly, See’s candies didn’t get where they are in the candy industry by sending out products in the condition we received. See’s candies should be as shown in the store. The chocolate should be creamy and melt in your mouth. Not dry chocolate that chips as you eat it. These are edible, but I can get a box of chocolates at Walmart for a lot less money that will match this quality. Maybe one box might have had damage or issues, but not all of them. Is this See’s Candies new standard? I will be posting a review to Amazon once I hear from San Antonio and Phx. If their product is a better quality my Amazon review will be honest and reflect that.
