If you like fudge, this is the book to buy! Who knew there were so many different types of fudge, from a range of different cultures (there's even a rose flavored fudge)! I haven't yet tried any of the recipes in this book, but I have read through it. There are plenty of options to choose from, but I will say that I was hoping to find recipes for the type of fudge that my grandmother made (with lots of heavy cream) where as a lot of the recipes in this book seem to rely on things like marshmallow fluff.

I received this book at a discount in exchange for an honest review.

I was Very Surprised by this books. I've made a few of the recipes already and most come out amazing. I only give four stars because there are some Dud's in the recipes that no matter how I try will not turn out with that firm fudge texture.

What a nice little recipe book with tons of great advice! I have always struggled with fudge and can't wait to put this book to good use. 101 Fudge Recipes is well written and seems to come from a writer who has spent some time in the kitchen. I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

If fudge has mystified you in the past you have found what you need in the first couple of pages. Then come the recipes. That's it, not a thing about the various concoctions and very few photos. It feels like it could use something more, rather a lot more actually.

This is a wonderful book chock full of fantastic fudge recipes. Many recipes use a microwave oven so there is no need for a candy thermometer. Homemade fudge makes a memorable hostess gift as well. Thank you Allie Bishop.

Old fashioned recipes. I expected some new, innovative varieties.

The recipes looked so good that I wanted to taste them all as I read them. My candy thermometer is at the ready, as are our tastebuds.

My 86-year-old mother, the family fudge-maker, is totally thrilled with the gift of this kindle book.

2.0 out of 5 stars Recipe #1 didn't work for me
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on June 7, 2020
The preface to the book makes a big thing about Cook - Cool - Stir. Having read up about fudge making, this all seems to be correct and inline with many other recipe methods. However, the very first recipe in the book mentions exactly how the COOK phase should be conducted. But then says immediately stir - then pour into a pan and cool in the fridge. This may actually work - but that's not what I did. Stupidly, I followed the advice given in the preface.

I allowed it to cool to 48C, then stirred - then the disaster happened. It went VERY crumbly. Not fudge consistency at all.

If the recipe method is actually correct - why not mention in the preface that there are exceptions? And why for goodness sake make recipe #1 differ?
