The brain is perfect for creepy Halloween treats!

The brain is perfect for creepy Halloween treats!
I have really began to appreciate silicone molds. They are inexpensive, easy to use and clean up well. I've been trying to collect them in holiday shapes for a variety of fun treats. This one is going to be perfect for Halloween. I tried it with some food coloring and made some blue and red ice brains. I also melted some chocolate for it and that turned out perfectly. In other similiar molds we've made melted crayons. Our plan is Jell-O jigglers and/or Jello shots for the adults for Halloween. There are a couple small things I'm marking this down a star for. Every other silicone mold I've ever had is able to be thrown in the dishwasher. This one said hand wash. I think that's odd and I'm not sure why that would be the case. It also doesn't state if it can be used in the oven. My daughter has one Lego and butterfly crayons in similar mods that we put in the oven. It would be nice to know if we could do brain crayons. The other small issue is this is less flexible than other molds I've used, so it takes a bit more effort to get the brains out.One thing that we thought about. If we make a packet of Jello this mold will probably only hold about half of it. We can't just keep Jello sitting around in liquid form until the ones in here harden and can be removed to start another batch. So basically each box of Jello will make 4 brains. We will be buying another Halloween mold so we can do two at a time, but I wanted to note that for anyone thinking of doing this.Overall, I really like this mold and am VERY excited to use it at Halloween. My few small issues definitely aren't deal breakers, but I wanted to note them for shoppers. I bought this at a discount to review and provide my honest feedback on.

First, make sure you soak it before you use it.
Other than that, these are perfect for molding ice, soaps, brain-shaped chocolate bowls for ice-cream! I bought one to try out, but a second one was needed to make the process faster for quantity.
