Love these toffees
Love these toffees. The bag is very large though not impossibly big. The value here is amazing. I'm not sure if these even go bad so it's not a bad thing to have a few extras lying around! The toffees themselves are a little chewy but still a little soft. You're not going to hurt your jaw if you eat too many of these at once. Without inspecting the entire bag I can clearly tell that there aren't any that were poorly wrapped or leaking out or anything like that. Also, the ones I've eaten so far haven't seemed stale or old or anything (which is always a concern when you buy bulk like this). Overall I can't be happier with this purchase and will likely buy again if I ever get to the bottom of the bag!

I used these candies to put into small containers, along with other good quality candy, for our yearly family reunion.     As mentioned above, I buy these candies for our yearly family reunion. Each year they cost more and more, but worth it. Everyone loves them! Bought two 5.5 pound bags, for a little under 97 dollars. Used to be half of that about three years ago. They are very creamy, chewy but not too hard. I highly recommend them. :)

    I first discovered these delightful blobs of wonderfulness when I went to England in 2001. Then I forgot about them. Then my son brought some home from a little shop in Norcross, GA that sells imported yummies from the UK for homesick expatriates. For a couple of years we've been buying the small bags from the little shop, and slowly going broke.

    THEN!! I was browsing around Amazon, as one does, and found this Super Duper Giant Economy Size bag of these English bits of decadence!! I purchased them! I am slowly eating them (as they are so rich you only need a couple at a time)! And I SHALL REORDER WHEN I RUN OUT!!!

    Seriously, though, if you like caramel, the soft chewy kind that can pull the fillings right out of your head, try these instead. They're just firm enough to give some resistance, but once they soften up they slowly dissolve and you are never in danger of de-filling a tooth.

    I had sampled these toffees at the local SAS store, which hands them out when you make a purchase and they were so soft and deliciousthat I had to have more. I searched the internet and the manufacturer in England would not sell them to an individual, but I was happy to find out they were available at Amazon. The 5 pound order arrived and they were so hard you couldn't even bite into them - they were inedible. Also, the product was not returnable, so I had to just throw them out. A real waste of money!

As a Type 2 DM sufferer sugar is a fearsome enemy and generally wreaks havoc with our peripheral nerves, however, these toffees have complex sugars that DO NOT stimulate the nerve endings and thus result in no discomfort.     I purchased the Walkers Royal Toffees, because I had sampled some at a shoe store in Seattle. They were soft, melt-in-your-mouth delicious. What I got when I ordered the 5.5 pound bag from Amazon were hard as a rock, pull-your-teeth-out chewy. The flavor was still great, but they obviously were either over cooked or old. If anyone knows where to get the soft Walkers Toffees that don't stick to your teeth, let me know. I love ordering from Amazon. It's quick, easy, and convenient. Occassionally I don't get exactly what I want, but returning products is pretty painless. I did not return the toffees as everyone else loved them tough and chewy.
