too much chocolate -- too little almond

too much chocolate -- too little almond
These almonds are THICKLY coated with chocolate (see my photo). That is not a good thing. Almonds are more healthful than chocolate. Ask yourself -- WHY so much chocolate? Because it's cheaper! Almonds -- grown in California -- are one of the thirstiest of crops. They need lots of water. And California is suffering a drought. So the price of nuts in general, and almonds in particular, have sky-rocketed. To save money, these almonds -- which are sold by the pound -- are heavily coated in chocolate. So you're paying high almond prices for inexpensive chocolate. These almonds are okay, but they'd be better were they thinly coated with chocolate, rather than heavily coated. They'd taste better and would be more healthful.

Delicious beyond the beyond. Suprisingly, not too expensive either. The chocolate is of a fine quality and the almonds are toasted and crispy fresh beyond perfect. My order was filled by King of Sweets and was shipped from Delaware to East Texas. These dark chocolate almonds are big and fresh. They have an expiration date of 3/19. They were shipped in an large insulated envelope with an ice brix gel refrigerant ice cube. Very nice price and fast shipping. Great seller!

very good taste and quality. would have liked the chocolate outer coating to be thinner. would have liked less sugar added but am happy there is no artificial sweetener that is beginning to show up in too many foods.

When I opened the large bag and tasted the product they were dry and flat in taste. I eventually threw out 98% of the bag. I've eaten K Rations & C Rations that tasted better. Don't waste your money!

Ordered these the 1st time a couple weeks ago and they were amazing, addictive! 5 stars. Perfect almonds and superb chocolate. We were so excited to have found such great dark chocolate covered almonds at such a great price.

We ordered again and, YUCK! They taste so awful. The almonds are way overtoasted (cut into one and it's so brown!) They are bitter, soggy, and taste like cardboard. Even the chocolate tastes worse, not as rich and creamy. Had my review been based on this one experience I would have given it 1 star! After getting these we won't be spending the money to order again and take the chance we get another order as awful as these. Bummer, because those 1st ones were sooo delicious!

Note....the 1st order shipped from the East coast, the 2nd order shipped from the West coast.

My favorite gift to send to people when I can't think of anything personal. The people in my mother's retirement center are jealous she gets shipment of these every few months from me. But if you send to people at an office as a thank you, be prepared for lots of hints after about sending them more. Also sent as a covid care package to relatives, now all relatives that get covid expect the same.
