My kids absolutely love Choco Treasure. I just received the package yesterday, on a Sunday. As a surprise, I put one in my son's lunch bag this morning. When he looked inside he had a huge smile on his face and wanted to eat it right then. I'd purchased some over Christmas after a friend told me about them. My boys thought they were amazing. I couldn't find them in the store, so I looked on line and was very excited to find them. We all think the chocolate tastes great, and the kids of course can't wait to find what toy they've received inside. We're all partial to the puzzles, especially the 3D ones. Even as adults it's still fun to open the egg and find your prize. Opening the egg makes you feel like a kid again. I'm going to bring some in to my office to share with my staff and give them some to bring home to their kids.
I'm not sure what is the greater health hazard, choking on the toys in the true Kinder Surprise Eggs, or choking on the chocolate of this "Made in China" knockoff.
Having lived in Europe - My boys and I really enjoyed the Kinder Surprise Eggs but this "American version" is a complete total disappointment. I know, my expectations was high as the true Kinder Surprise egg was composed of a high quality tasty chocolate outer shell lined with a white chocolate inner shell. Inside is a small yellow egg treasure with some unique plastic toy to assemble.
These Choco Treasures are far from the true Kinder Eggs. They're round, and the chocolate is utterly disgusting. I'm not even sure if it really chocolate? Although the words "Premium Milk Chocolate" appear on the box, it's not listed in the ingredients.
However there are some mystery ingredients: Lets see - Sugar, Coca Butter, Cocoa Mass, Whole Milk Powder, Skimmed Milk Powder, Whey Powder, Anhydrous Milkfat, Emulsifier: Soya Lecithin, E476 (????), Vanillin.
Oh the toy inside? Some pathetic attempt for a 8pc puzzle made out of flimsy cardboard...and NO Picture! Although Made In China, the FDA has approved this for sale in America.
so the chocolate honestly is not worth eating and there was not much variation to the pack that i got. It is overall cheap chocolate with cheap cardboard cut outs or stickers, not toys.
My son loves chocolate, sports and treasures so this was a perfect gift for him. A friend of mine told me about them. I could not find them in any stores so I checked amazon. The chocolate was very good and my son loved the toys. I cannot wait to buy more for his Easter basket! My daughter loved them too so I hope to see some more "girly" products offerings soon. If you are looking for something fun and different, then this is the product for you!
Terrible chocolate! It tastes just blaaah... And the little surprises in them are boring. They are not like kinder surprise where the little toys inside need to assembled, or you get cute cartoon characters. These are the same toys over and over, puzzles, mini cards and i forgot the third one. The chocolate itself is horrid. If you are used to Swiss, Swedish or German chocolate, do not buy this one. It is just terrible!
Bought these for the kids easter baskets, and the chocolate just falls apart, it tastes like dollar tree chocolate which is okay but not for the price I paid, wouldn't buy these again really:(
