This is my fifth purchase of Kirkland dark chocolate covered dried fruits. The bags always arrive in good condition here in Florida. But I don't order them in the hottest months. I order two or three bags before the hot months. Then I order in the cooler months. I found this product originally at COSTCO when helping a friend shop. I'm not a member of the store so when I finished the bag she gave me as a thank you I went online. Amazon is my preference as I have Prime privileges and once or twice I've had to contact a seller and any problems are resolved quickly. I've since tried other brands offered on Amazon. Kirkland is a bit pricey, but for quality and taste it is still better than the two other leading brands. I highly recommend this product.

I had no idea how many stars to give; here's what happened, you decide how many stars: Kirkland, Costco's brand, has made the best dark chocolate covered fruit I've ever tasted--these Super Fruits. I went nuts over some purchased at Costco: high quality dark chocolate, much as with Brookside Dark Chocolate Acai with Blueberry 2 Pounds Resealable Bag [Misc.], but the fruit is even better. However, it is very difficult for me to get to Costco, so I bought these through Amazon. They unfortunately arrived congealed into a solid, hard mass. Looking at other recent reviews on Amazon, customers who purchased this at around the time I did had the very same experience. Amazon readily refunded the amount, which was great, but could not send a replacement. I couldn't bear to just throw the bag out, so I tried chipping off a piece of the congealed chocolate fruit slag, which really did look like it had been nuked in a reactor: total core meltdown. I tasted it. . .aaack. Dumb idea. So, don't buy these online, but try to get to Costco and buy a fresh bag, they're incredible. 1 star for the nuked mess; 5 stars for the original product. I averaged that out to 3 stars. If you want to buy great dark chocolate covered fruits through Amazon, I strongly recommend Brookside.

i got mine in today. My opinion is that they are OK. Don't get me wrong. I love chocolate covered stuff, but my problem with these was that they did not have a good balance. I think the problem stems from the type of chocolate that they used to cover the fruit. At first, I was biting them in half when I ate them, and I thought that the chocolate was overpowering the fruit. But then after eating the fruit in full, or at one time, I found that what I think the problem is, is that when you eat them, the chocolate does not tend to, I guess you could say, dissolve, like the fruit does. Which means that one flavor does not mix completely well with the other in a constant balance. Think if it this way, you can get chocolate that melts easily in your mouth, where just sucking on it, it creams up, and then there is chocolate that melts in your mouth more like hard candy does. This is the type of chocolate that is more like hard candy. You need it where one flavor does not overpower the other, and on these, it seems like about 2/3's of the flavor is coming from one or the other, because of the type of chocolate used.

If you just toss the full thing in your mouth and start chomping away, then you probably will not notice it much, but if you take your time at eating them slowly, you will notice this much more. It may be due to the fact that they are in a bag like this that they could not use a better type of chocolate for them, because maybe they had a lot of problems with them sticking together and stuff, if they did. plus adding in that these are dark chocolate and not milk.. They are not bad, and I have no problem eating them. I just don't think that they did a good job on balancing the flavor. I have some dove chocolate covered fruit (cant remember if they were milk or dark chocolate), and I think they did a better job at balancing the flavor of the fruit with the amount/type of chocolate on them.

They are good, and worth the money that I paid. They are just not my favorites.. Overall, I think the quality was good, but not great.. I think the chocolate was a decent chocolate, but not the best.. but hey, for the price, not bad.. and was worth trying. Like they say, you get what you pay for, and these were definitely on par with that saying. They are definitely a lot better then some other ones I have tried. I was looking for chocolate cover cherries when I came upon them and just bought them to give them a try. But I still think that cella's makes some of the best chocolate covered cherries. but to be fair, cella's has a different kind of chocolate covered cherry too. In the end, yes I would say to give them a try, as your tastes may be different them mine, and you may like them. Other then that, I have no complaints about the product.

One thing I can say about these that is not very common to see is that they have multiple fruits in this bag. Most of the time, you get just one fruit in a chocolate cover fruit bag, where this one, you get 3 different types of fruit, which gives you a good variety. and that, I would say, is a major plus to these. Also, the balance between the flavor and the fruit on these, is the same, no matter if you pick of the blueberry, or the cherry, or the cranberry. So for the price, I would say that these are well worth the money, and considering they are not really expensive, it is worth trying them too. Just one side note, if you, like me, saw the chocolate covered cranberries in there and kinda wondered about how good they will be.. like I did.. well, dont worry too much. I thought that the flavor would be weird or not very good thinking about the cranberry, but I would say that they were just as good as the cherry. Maybe it has something to do with them being dried fruit, and not fresh. But I would say that all 3 fruits were equally good.

final verdict, yes worth trying, worth the money, and I may or may not buy them again. i just am not sure, but no real complaints about them.

Threw it all away. Had tried these from someone else and they were fantastic. This bag tasted like it was 10 years old. Dry and chalky. What a waste!

I bought an off brand of these at Kohls. They were very fresh, soft and delicious. I went back and bought the rest of what they had in stock.
I searched online for that brand and could not find them. Thinking the Kirkland product would be very similar, I ordered this. It looked fine on arrival and had a "best if used by date of August, 2016. Theoretically, that means they should remain fairly fresh for another 4 months.
By contrast when my wife and I tried them, we found them to be very hard and tasteless compared to the Kohl's product. I would not order these again and cannot recommend them.

We liked these candies (and don't fool yourself, that's what they are) so much that we could NOT stop eating them. Usually we both have a modicum of self-control but not with these little babies. I found myself going back to the bag over and over. We bought another bag. Same problem. So they are now off our list. We can't afford the calories.

    Great treat, fantastic taste. Addictive.
