I wasn't sure what to expect with The Chocolate Guide but after thumbing through the directory of chocolatiers and confectioners I almost want to plan a trip across the states and visit many of these wonderful looking places. I'm hoping the next version has digital scratch-n-sniff because the pictures alone make me drool for samples.

This book is simple and to the point. It starts off with some awards that are run in the US and their award winners, which many are in the book. Then its basically a compendium of shops and makers in the USA. Gives a good feel for what is out there.

Covers chocolate shops only in the largest cities. Not all that interesting, either. Don't know exactly what to expect but it didn't intrigue me.

A great trip planning guide for anyone who loves chocolate! We've it several times to find local chocolatiers in towns that we are visiting. It would be great to get to every shop in the guide.
