These are relatively tiny marshmallows covered with a great, not-too-thick dark delicious chocolate. A bit pricey for what you get, however I wish my regional Trader Joe’s carried them. My only grievance is that the delicious chocolate looks dusky and the marshmallows are not quite soft enough – every one of which could possibly be signs of item age or inadequate storage – although the ‘use by’ date is still 9 months away.
I grabbed a 7 oz. box of these dark chocolate covered marshmallows today at Trader Joe’s for $2.99. I am unsure if these are periodic or lugged year ’round; they weren’t with the vacation candy. The box is rather attractive yet I was a slightly stunned that there were simply twenty pieces inside. The delicious chocolate is very good and the marshmallows are delicious however they are absolutely not “light and cosy” as the box vows. They are much denser compared to the bagged marshmallows, nearly like marshmallow fluff. I guess I was expecting something a lot more like homemade marshmallows. They are still yummy and enjoyable to eat and are really nice liquefied in a coffee cup of warm chocolate. I desire they was available in peppermint flavor! Each 1 oz offering of 3 pieces has 120 calories and 3g of fat.
